Breathing is one of the reasons why meditation is so powerful. During meditation, you try to experience complete silence within yourself. You can do this by focusing your attention on something, such as your breathing.

We often take our breathing for granted, but it is a very important part of our life. It is the basis of our system, our life energy. We all breath, but not optimally. For when we experience burnout complaints or stress, we start breathing differently, faster and more superficially.

By focusing on your breathing you bring your attention to the here and now and your mind becomes calm and still.

You always have your breath with you so you can use this tool in any situation!

 FREE breathing exercise against difficult (stress) moments

  1. Sit well with your back straight and feet on the ground
  2. Close your eyes and breathe in through your stomach for 4 seconds.
  3. Breathe out from your belly for 5 seconds
  4. Make sure you breathe in an even movement and find a rhythm here
  5. Keep your attention on your breathing and watch your belly go up and down.
  6. Do you thoughts deviate? Bring your attention back to your breathing.
  7. Repeat this 10 times and then slowly open your eyes.

The more you meditate, the more benefits you will experience. This count for everyone. That is why regularity in meditation is so important.
